Water supplies can experience solids contamination or general turbidity. Turbidity can add discolouration or fouling to a water supply. This can affect industrial processes with specific water supply requirements.
General turbidity can be removed from the water using a multi media filter and a layered bed of gravel, sand and anthracite. This will reduce the water to low micron levels which can be useful to processes with large flows and where cartridge filters do not suit. The water can be further filtered to lower micron ratings using specialised media. Water analysis, flow rates and demand quantities are important when sizing these units accurately.
